A sombre mood engulfed Ndubai area of Bomet county after a Class Eight pupil reportedly died by suicide after an alleged domestic squabble. 

According to Kipreres location Chief Philip Chelule, his body was found hanging from the roof of the house where he has been staying.

“The boy was staying with his grandmother. His parents parted ways some years back,his grandparents enrolled him to continue with his studies”, the chief told the media. 

The deceased, who was to sit KCPE this year, had texted  his uncles about his intentions but reportedly didn’t get any reply. 

 Police visited the scene and did not  recover any suicide note.  The body of the deceased was to Longisa Referral Hospital Mortuary.
